Introducing the Baby Steps Program

This year (2017) Hong HUB is launching the “Baby Steps Program” for artists and other creative fields.

To facilitate the learning aspect of our residency, we have decided to transform the artists’ first trip to Bangkok into a discovering experience. No more pre-conceptualized imported projects. No art work producing, just go out and meet people. The project would only be carried out on the year afterward.

The selected artist(s) would need to accept a two years commitment. One learning/research trip and one working trip.

More details and application form are coming soon.

JUNE 2014

Nathan Beard

Artist’s Talk @ Speedy Grandma 12th June 2014 at 7pm

672/50-52 Soi Charoenkrung 28 Bangrak, Bangkok.

To conclude his residency in Bangkok Nathan Beard will be presenting the “raw materials” for his future project and confront them with his past ones. Beard’s works dig into his Australian-Thai identity and reveal how different cultures can blend into one in our present society.
This is also an occasion for the public to have a dialogue with the artist and be part of this project as the post-modern Thai culture that we belong to is in the heart of his works.
